On the same weekend as our 1st Henfield Beavers we’re engaging on their Ashdown 30 adventure, elements from our combined 1st Henfield Scout Troops had their own adventure with a a survival camp!
Challenging their inner Bear Grylls or Dwayne Fields, the Scouts had to spend the night outside without tents or the more standard camp facilities such gas burners and tables.
The Scouts had a great time sleeping in improvised hammocks and making shelters, cooking meals on fires, as well as reinforcing the need to work effectively in teams and keep kit and areas tidy .
A massive well done to Andrew, Trish and the Scout team for delivering a great camp .
