The Sussex Downsman Hike is an event held annually on the first Saturday in October on the South Downs. The next event is scheduled for 2nd October 2021.
We have been practicing with the scouts, hiking over the South Downs. Last weekend we hiked from Southease to Plumpton covering 11.5 miles.
The actual event is split into classes and we will be entering various categories according to age and ability with some scouts covering 22 miles!
