On Sunday 9th June, 1st Henfield Scout Group were excited to #LendAHand as part of #TheBigHelpOut to support the Henfield Community Orchard with their nature projects.
The Group built a new Bug house, built a hibernaculum, helped put up bird houses, maintained the dead hedge and did a litter pick to name a few of the many projects ticked off in the orchard.
Big thank you to all our young people and adults for supporting the second year of this great project – originally envisaged as a cornerstone of HM the King’s Coronation and now becoming an annual event to coincide with his official Birthday- this event brings real focus to volunteering and the community volunteers support. To that end a special thank you to Tony from Sustainable Henfield for leading us this morning👍
